There are about one thousand such places in the capital Delhi, where the mobile network is the biggest problem. People in these places have to deal with the problem of not getting calls for a long time along with a drop of calls.
Recently, a survey was conducted by Delhi Police for dark spots and low network spots, in which 1000 such places have been identified, where people have to face problems in using mobiles. To solve the problem of mobile networks, Delhi Police is planning to work together with Public Works Department (PWD) and mobile network companies.
PWD officials said that information about low network spots has been received from Delhi Police. For this, we are contacting mobile network companies. Officials said that Wi-Fi hot spots have been installed at more than 1100 places in Delhi. Network boosters can be installed at all these spots. Alternatively, network boosters can also be installed on the poles of street lights. He said that soon a draft would be prepared in this regard and approval would be taken from the government and mobile network companies would be included in this scheme.
LED lights to be installed at dork spots: The Center has provided Rs 11 crore for the project of installation of lights at dark spots to strengthen women's safety in the national capital.
Such places in South, West, and North Delhi Delhi will soon be illuminated with new LED lights. In the past, the NGO Safety pin had identified dark spots in a survey across the city. Most of these dark spots are located on roads and flyovers under the jurisdiction of the erstwhile North and South Delhi Municipal Corporations.

Had the call been received on time, it could have saved lives.
Narendra Lakra, former president of CAT Ambulance Union, said that they often get emergency calls late because of the mobile network. Recalling an accident in 2015, Narendra says that in December, a car and a tempo collided head-on on the Najafgarh-Dhansa road. In which four youths were killed. He was informed about this incident with a delay of about 30 minutes. The injured youths kept calling the ambulance during the incident, but the call was not received due to a network problem. Narendra told us that the accident happened at 2.40 pm and it took 40 minutes for us to reach the spot. Had the network been right and the call was made on time, we could have reached the spot in just five minutes and the lives of the injured could have been saved.
