Cyber Attack on India: Attack on 500 websites of the country including 70 in Maharashtra, hackers of Malaysia and Indonesia suspected

A major cyber attack took place in the country on Tuesday. More than 500 websites in the country have been hacked. These include 70 websites including the site of the Thane Police of Maharashtra. Three of these are the government. Suspicions have been raised of hackers from Malaysia and Indonesia in the case.

 

Madhukar Pandey, ADG, Maharashtra Cyber ​​Cell said that we have restored many websites. Restoration work is going on for many. After hacking the websites of private universities, more than 70 websites of the state were attacked. Three of these were government. The number of hacked websites is more than 500.

ADG Pandey said that amidst the ongoing communal tension in the country, many cyber hackers together carried out this attack. Many websites have been hacked in the country. The names of hackers from two countries Malaysia and Indonesia are coming out in the case. We are yet to get information about whether this gang is active in India or not.

 

Thane Police DCP Cyber ​​Cell Sunil Lokhande said that the police website was hacked at around 4 am today. Technical experts have restored the data and website. The inspection of the matter is going on. The Maharashtra Home Department has ordered the state's cyber cell to probe the hacking of government websites and others. An investigation has also been started into the hacking of the Thane Police website.
