On Monday, the royal bath of the holy Somvati Amavasya began at Haridwar Kumbh. The bath had started late Sunday night. IG Fair Sanjay Gunjyal says that till the day, about 21 lakh 07 thousand devotees have taken a bath in the entire Kumbh Mela area. In the Harki Pauri area, devotees were able to bathe till seven in the morning, after which there is a reserve for saints. Devotees continue to bathe at other ghats.
After the royal bath, the health of Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi of Kinnar Akhara deteriorated. Acharya Mahamandaleshwar fainted outside the office of the Ganga Sabha. The fair administration and police sent Laxmi Narayan Tripathi Ambulance to the hospital.
Former Nepal King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah also took a bath on Monday. The saints are taking a dip in the holy river Ganges. This sequence will continue till five in the evening.

Tight security at every corner of the area
Niranjani, Juna, and Panch Agni Arena also set out for a bath with full force. The saint of Niranjani Arena first arrived for the royal bath. The saints of Niranjani Aakhra took a bath and returned. After which the saints of Juna, Agni, and Aava Adhara arrived for a bath.
The saints took a dip in the fallen Ganges. After this, the saints of Kinnar Akhada took a bath in the Ganges. The saints of Bairagi Arena also reached for a bath as per the scheduled time. This sequence will continue till five in the evening. The fair administration has in turn released the route and time chart of bathing of the akhadas.
There is tight security at every step in the Harki Pauri area for the royal bath. Sniper will monitor and teams of bomb disposal squad and dog squad are on alert.

IG Kumbh Sanjay Gunjyal said that on the day of the royal baths, the highway has been designated as a zero zone. With this, devotees will not be able to participate in the evening Ganga Aarti to be held at Harki Pauri.
IG Kumbh Mela Sanjay Gunjyal said that from April 12 to 14, there are frequent bathing festivals. There is the second royal bath on April 12, the Nav Samvat on April 13, and the third royal bath on the day of Baishakhi on April 14. In which the saints of all the 13 akharas go to bathe.
He told that the royal procession of Bath is passing through the highway. Therefore, the movement of vehicles on the highway has been declared as a zero zone. He told that devotees will not be able to bathe at Harki Pauri, Brahmakund, and nearby Ganga Ghats.
These ghats have been reserved for the akhadas. So devotees should take a bath at the ghats around the parking lot. He said that the saints of the akhadas bathe till evening on the day of the royal bath. Therefore, the common devotees will not be allowed to attend the Harki Pauri evening aarti.
