AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi is very active in the election campaign for Maharashtra Assembly this time. This time his party has fielded candidates in only 16 seats out of 288 assembly seats. This is very low in terms of the number of candidates fielded in the 2019 assembly elections.
In the Maharashtra Vidhansabha elections held five years ago, AIMIM had fielded 44 candidates. Out of these, the party's candidates managed to win only 2 seats. Despite this, Owaisi is hopeful of getting better results this time.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi's sharp statements are becoming a hot topic this time as before. This is because this time his statements and the counter statements from the opponents are also in the headlines.
'People will answer BJP on 23 November'
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi held a meeting for his 2 candidates in Bhiwandi on Tuesday, in which he raised many big issues. While giving a speech in favor of the party candidate in Bhiwandi, Owaisi said, "Constitutional provisions like triple talaq, CAA, UAPA and Waqf Board Bill are black laws. The public will answer this on November 23."
Asaduddin Owaisi said, "Insult of Islam and Prophet Mohammad will not be tolerated under any circumstances. While making this announcement, AIMIM President and MP Asaduddin Owaisi called upon the people to make all the candidates of his party win."
'This does not suit CM Yogi'
During the election campaign, Owaisi also strongly criticized the slogan 'Batenge to Katenge' given by UP CM Yogi Adityanath. This language does not suit the Chief Minister. The government which ran bulldozers on the houses of the poor has made thousands of people homeless. He also alleged that bullets were fired at his car as well. Owaisi was giving a speech during a rally in Bhiwandi to campaign for his party candidate Waris Pathan.
Is it an assembly election or a jungle raj?
Taking a jibe at Maharashtra Deputy CM Fadnavis's statements on vote jihad and religious war, he asked whether this is an assembly election or a jungle raj? During his speech, he also lashed out at Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav! Akhilesh Yadav, who talks about secularism, had rendered more than fifty thousand people homeless during the Muzaffarnagar riots during his tenure.
He alleged that more than a hundred women were raped during the Muzaffarnagar riots. Babasaheb Ambedkar has written that the Constitution is alive, but Godse is dead. Saying this, he attacked PM Modi's 'Ek Hain Toh Safe Hain' statement.
Asaduddin Owaisi said that PM Modi does nothing except give dialogues and he should work on writing dialogues in the film industry.
